Limu Plus for Hair Growth

Posted by MustLimuPlus | Getting Proper Nutrition | Saturday 27 March 2010 12:00 pm

In September ’07 I started taking Limu Plus. I began to notice the most “awful” side effect (LOL). My hair started getting thicker and growing to the point that I had to get it cut every two weeks! I already have enough hair for three people so this was NOT a blessing! My Husband, who has very little hair, noticed and began taking the “snake oil” as he called it. Low and behold, two months later we find that HIS hair is also getting thicker and growing faster! Is this just incidental, or is there actual science behind it? My husband also has degenerative disk problems in his neck. He has had constant pain for two years despite treatment. Within one week of starting Limu Plus, His pain went entirely away! GONE! He now has no pain at all as long as he takes 1 ounce twice a day. Limu Plus is now on the menu at the Robbins’ house twice daily for everyone.

Thanks for such a great product!

Warm Regards,
Ruth R

Dear Ruth,

There is some scientific evidence to support the pro-hair growth ingredients in Limu Plus. For instance, green tea,(according to a study Published 22 July 2005 in J Natl Med Assoc, 97(6): 816-8, consumption of green tea caused regrowth of hair in mice). There is the equivalent of 1-2 servings of green tea per serving of Limu Plus. And we know that stress contributes to hair loss and that adaptogens offer relief from stress. You get 2 grams of a proprietary blend of Russian Adaptogens per serving of Limu Plus. This is enough to impact hair loss due to stress.
And, fucoidan, found in Limu Plus, was reported on at the Oct. 6-9, 1999 Annual Meeting of the Japanese Biochemical Society to enhance the production of Hepatocyte Growth Factor(HGF) which, among other benefits provides a stimulus to hair growth.

Also, Limu Plus contains several vitamins, trace minerals and amino acids(the building blocks of protein which is essential to hair growth) that are essential to hair growth. Those that are prresent in Limu Plus are indicated with an * among the ingredients below:

According to an analysis of the extract of Limu Moui that we use in the Limu Plus, the amino acids(in trace amts) would be: *alanine, *arginine, *aspartic acid, *SAA-cysteine(a combination of cysteine + methionine), *glutamic acid, *glycine, *histidine, *leucine, *lysine, *SAA-methionine(a combination of methionine + cysteine), *AAA-phenylalanine (a combination of phenylalanine + tyrosine), *proline, *serine, *threonine, *tryptophan, *AAA-tyrosine( a combination of tyrosine + phenylalanine) and *valine in at least trace amounts.

The vitamins that have been found in our Limu Moui(in,at least, trace amounts) are A, *B1, 2, *Niacin, *Pantothenic Acid, *B12, C, and *D.

The “plant source” trace minerals that have been added to Limu Plus are:

Bismuth, Boron, Bromine, Calcium, Carbon, Cerium, Cesium, Chloride, Chromium, Cobalt, Copper, Molybdenum, Neodynium, Nickel, Niobium, Osmium, Palladium, Phosphorus, Platinum, Potassium, Praseodymium, Rhenium, Rhodium, Rubidium, Samarium, Scandium, Dysprosium, Erbium, Europium, Fluoride, Gadolinium, Gold, Hafnium, Holmium, Indium, *Iodine, Iridium, *Iron, Lanthanum, Lithium, Lutetium, Magnesium, *Manganese, Selenium, Silica, Silver, Siodium, Strontium, Sulfur, Tantalum, Tellurium, Terbium, Thallium, Thorium, Thulium, Tin, Titanium, Tungsten, Vanadium, Ytterbium, *Zinc, Zirconium.

I pray that this is helpful.

Are You Trying to Get Pregnant?

Posted by MustLimuPlus | Getting Proper Nutrition,Save with Specials | Saturday 6 February 2010 12:00 pm

In this day and age of high stress living, environmentally toxic surroundings and “nutritionally challenged diets”, more and more couples are finding it increasingly difficult to get pregnant. While nutrition cannot be called “the answer” to this concern, it shouldn’t be ignored. Neither can these nutritional guidelines be considered a diagnosis, treatment, cure or prevention of any disease condition.

It is a good idea for both “Mom” and “Dad” to be as nutritionally balanced as possible before considering parenthood—it will help support your dietary needs while “trying” and build your nutritional reserves during the “trying times” ahead!

So, just how do mom and dad fortify themselves nutritionally?
First, they should consider giving the body time to build it’s nutritional reserves before beginning the “exhaustive” process of “trying”. I am not saying to abstain, I am just saying don’t try to get pregnant during this time—give the body some “build-up time.” I would suggest 45-60 days.

Now the nutritional guidelines:
Dad (think positively): VitaOne, Coral Calcium 2 2x a day—if having prostate concerns, reduce to 1 3x), Omega III (1 3x); Limu Plus(combine 1 oz with 1 oz of Aloe Vera and 3 oz of mixed Vita Enhanced Water), Probiotics (as directed), Revitalgen (as directed) and VitaMen (1 2x). Use six to eight 8 oz glasses of mixed VitaEnhanced Water a day. Be sure to take it 3 hrs before/after any medications due to its surfactant properties, or tell your doctor you are using a surfactant and ask if they will work with you on possibly “adjusting” medication levels that you take with a surfactant.

Mom (think positively): VitaOne, Coral Calcium (2 2x), Omega III(1 3x),  Limu Plus (same as dad), Probiotics (as directed), Revitalgen (as directed), VitaWoman (1 2x—when you start trying, do for a minimum of 45 days) and Vita Enhanced Water (same as dad).

If Mom becomes pregnant:
Mom should switch to the Prenatal/Nursing Regimen: Primalux (1 3x), Coral Calcium (2 3x), Omega III (1 3x) and Probiotic (as directed) — if mom has health concerns during pregnancy, consider Garlic.

Experts Question Impact of ‘Healthy’ Snacks

Posted by MustLimuPlus | Getting Proper Nutrition | Wednesday 20 January 2010 12:00 pm

Researchers in the US have pointed to growing consumption of ‘nutrition’ bars and functional beverages as a risk to health they say these new foods threaten to leave a generation with permanent damage to oral health and raise the numbers of obese.

With quick meals in the form of cereal bars and carbonated drinks proving popular throughout the Western world, especially for the fast-paced lifestyle of teenagers and young adults, a study in this month’s General Dentistry journal warns that these may have long-term effects.

”Premature loss of tooth enamel and weakening of overall tooth structure are two devastating oral affects of teens’ poor diet that can not be reversed later in life,” explained author Jane Soxman.

Soxman warned that despite the importance of adolescence for bone growth, fizzy drinks and sugary, high-carbohydrate foods are rapidly displacing healthier options such as milk, fruits and vegetables. Many cereal bars, marketed as healthy, often contain large amounts of sugar.

”The easy access of sugary beverages and foods from home to school and everywhere in between has compromised the health of teens’ teeth, and helped fuel the national obesity epidemic,” added Julie Barna, spokesperson for the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr Soxman’s research shows that drinking carbonated beverages seems to be one of the most significant causes of increased cavities and obesity for today’s teenagers. And as younger children become addicted to the caffeine and sugar contained in many fizzy drinks, the problems will only increase. Being overweight puts adolescents at significant health risks including increased incidence of hypertension and elevated cholesterol leading to heart disease, type II diabetes and osteoporosis.

The phosphoric, citric, tartaric and/or carbonic acid in fizzy drinks has also now been linked to breaking down the tooth enamel around dental sealants and restorations further compromising dental health.

And the phosphoric acid in most regular and diet cola drinks limits calcium absorption, with a direct influence on bone density, report the researchers. They say that by the age of 16, girls have accumulated 90 to 97 per cent of their bone mass making adequate calcium intake vital, yet statistics in the US and Europe show that many girls are not receiving enough calcium through their diets. Some research has linked soft drink consumption to bone fractures in teenage girls.

”These girls are at an extreme risk for developing osteoporosis, already exhibiting symptoms of this disease in their teen years,” said Dr Soxman. ”Early education on the importance of calcium consumption is key to reversing this trend.”

The Importance of Proper pH Levels in the Body

Posted by MustLimuPlus | Getting Proper Nutrition | Wednesday 13 January 2010 12:00 pm

As all of you who are reading this forum know we have an amazing product called Coral Calcium+ which offers some amazing benefits. Benefits like: replenishing minerals, enhances nutrient bioavailability, strengthens bones and teeth, provides electrolyte balance and provides proper pH balance and so much more.

I would like to take a moment and offer you a very basic explanation as to why pH balance is so important:

Your body operates ideally within a narrow pH range of 7.36 – 7.44. It is naturally more alkaline than acidic; eventhough, some of the systems (like the digestive system) are acid. If the pH levels get too acid, a condition called acidosis can occur. Acidosis occurs when your blood pH level falls below 7.30. How does this impact you? In many way! One of those is fatigue. It has been stated that to be healthy the body cannot be acid. It must maintain the proper pH levels.

SO WHAT IS pH?
In general, our body must maintain a near perfect pH balance. It is critical to the maintenance of good health. The symbol ‘pH’ is used to represent the acidity or alkalinity level. pH stands for ‘potential for hydrogen’. Some have called it ‘potential for health’. Anything from 0-6.9 is acid and from 7-14 is alkaline. Essentially every function of the body is dependent on our bodies maintaining a precisely balanced pH in the blood, and other critical bodily systems. One of the key systems, for example, is the enzyme system. The enzyme system, as well as the electrical functions of our body, is dependent on electrolytes. Electrolyte levels are dependent on pH. This would indicate (as reported by A.C. Guyton and J. E. Hall in their Textbook of Medical Physiology, 9th edition) that without proper pH levels, it should be difficult for the cells to incorporate the necessary nutrients and energy for good health. This could lead to the cell weakening, which could lead to weakened tissue and ; then, to the organs themselves malfunctioning. This becomes even more serious as the body’s systems are affected, often times, leaving the body open to ‘invaders’ of all types. It has been stated that poor health most often begins after out pH balance is impacted due to a deficiency of minerals, especially electrolyte minerals like sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, lithium, and phosphorus.

We must remember that the changes in pH do not have to be major: most elements of the body have a very definite pH range and slight changes impact chemical reactions both within and outside the cell. This is why maintenance of pH levels are critical to overall body balance. To show the extreme opposites of the ph spectrum, a body that is too acid may slip into a coma and a body that is too alkaline might slip into convulsions — neither is good (Textbook of Medical Physiology, 7th edition). It is the proper balance that produces good health. However, if the PH shifts within a cell or organ, chaos results.

The chief culprits in mineral depletion within our body are the acid-forming foods we eat and what we drink( almost all of the fluids we drink on a daily basis are acidic. Coffee, tea, milk, soft drinks, fruit juices and even water. For example. a carbonated beverage has a pH of 2, orange juice is ph of 3, and average tap water is 4.5. So drink bottled water you may be saying–well it is typically a pH of only 6) and the other major cause of acidity is stress. In addition, antibiotics which can destroy the friendly bacteria create a problem because the bacteria that ‘grow back’ are often acid forming and can potentially create a problem that could drain the body of health enhancing electrolyte minerals. Some other causes of electrolyte loss might be: strenuous exercise, sickness, infection, or even fasting.

It is important that we maintain a perfect pH balance. The pH of the body systems have very exact ranges (Richard Anderson, Cleanse and Purify Thyself). He even points out that the food we eat must be at an optimum pH level before the body can absorb it. ome examples of pH ranges: saliva (6.0-7.0); stomach (1.0-3.5); pancreas (8.0-8.3); intestines (7.5-8.0) and blood (7.35-7.45).

If we can maintain the proper pH balance, we should maintain good health.

The Coral Calcium product provides a range of minerals including proper amounts of calcium and magnesium that assist the body in maintaining this critical pH balance.
